Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been an actor, model and advocate for animal rights in the US. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). The daughter of an artistic family located in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. She started as a photographic assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. Her two first films were noticed and she received the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international fame and an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. In just three films, MacGraw was declared one of the most successful women film in the history of box offices. At Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she had her signature and hand-footprints engraved. The actress has appeared in a variety of other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers came out. MacGraw is married three times.
